The Sweetings

They say love conquers all, and these two are living proof that it's true. Erika and Hans were high school sweethearts and it's safe to say that they "grew up" together. Think about it - how much have you changed and grown since your high school years? I look back on some of the "relationships" I had as a teenager and am mighty glad to have called it quits before we wound up at the altar. Not Erika and Hans, though... they graduated and both ended up at UT. They delved into their studies, enjoyed the multi-faceted experience of student life, and yet they knew deep down that they were meant for each other. For good. But they wanted to put first things first. So Erika went off to Stanford and got her Masters Degree, Hans kept plugging away at biology back in Austin, and when the time was right, they got married last October. Our dear friend Ashley Smith shot their wedding and did a gorgeous job. But the newlywed couple had so many adoring fans at their reception it was hard to find the time to do couple photos. And so now a few months later - after their honeymoon, now that they're settling in to being an old married couple, they decided to get all decked out again and spend another afternoon as bride and groom. And they asked me to take the photos. We had so much FUN! I am so happy for them, and so proud of all they've accomplished (I can say that because I'm a mom!) Congratulations, lovebirds. You deserve every joy life has to offer.
