Girls, Girls, Girls

Not long ago someone sent me a video of a little French girl telling a fairytale, and I watched it at least five times. Even though I couldn't understand it, the story was mesmerizing. Why? I loved hearing a four-year old tell a story in French, but mostly I was just absolutely taken by the girl's eyes – they were so big and beautiful and wondrous. About a week ago I went to take photos of two little girls, and when I saw two year-old, Mariana, I couldn't believe how much she looked like the French girl! Mariana's family, however, is from Spain. (Yes, the Spain that won the world cup!) I spent about an hour hanging out with this beautiful family, and never got over how adorable their girls are. I think Carmen (six months) never got over the fact that a stranger was standing over her with a big black clicking contraption (my camera.) She only cracked a smile a couple of times, so it's a good thing that her "serious" face is absolutely stunning. Belen (Mom), Ricardo (Dad) and I all tried our hardest to get the girls to cooperate with a family pose, but for the most part they weren't having it (see commentary below!)

Have I mentioned lately how much I love that my job allows me to meet such wonderful people? Thank you, Belen and Ricardo for letting me capture some photos of your little angels. They are truly delightful.By this time I was loudly singing "Elmo's World" to get the girls to look my way. "La la la la, La la la la, Elmo's World..." It's a wonder mom and dad kept a straight face. I'll pretty much make a fool out of myself to get the shot!Those EYES! I know so many women who would pay big bucks to have eyelashes like these!Can you tell by looking at Mariana's face that she is so done?? By this time I think everyone was.
